This service is included in all of our publishing packages and entails the professional layout of your book's interior. One of our book-layout specialists will use your submitted manuscript file to create a custom interior for your book based on industry standards and any suggestions you provide. You can review an electronic proof copy of your book's interior once the initial layout is complete, so you're always in control of your work.
Simple Book Layout includes the transformation of your manuscript file and the insertion of up to 10 images, tables or text boxes, as well as minimal manuscript cleanup. Your book designer will select appropriate fonts, chapter starts, and style for your book's genre, and will also apply page numbers and headers if appropriate.
For more complex formatting needs or manuscript cleanup, your design team will discuss any additional production costs that may incur, including the following:
- More than 10 images
- Manual hard returns
- Manual headers/footers
- Footnotes
- Manual formatting
- More than 25 first-round changes or corrections to errors (spelling, grammar, etc.) found in your originally submitted manuscript
- Image manipulation such as color matching, image replacement, size/resolution adjustment.
